Glutathione is one of the body’s most important endogenous antioxidants, helping protect cells from oxidative stress and supporting the body’s natural detoxification and cellular renewal processes. Its role in oxidative clearance makes it especially useful for skin health, complexion, and healthy aging. It supports the body as it responds to everyday oxidative stress and environmental exposure. For those with common MTHFR gene variants, glutathione may be particularly supportive of the body’s detoxification pathways, as glutathione plays an important role in the body’s natural conjugation and clearance of certain compounds.
